Trivets for Xmas #1: Prepping some wood

It’s been almost three months since I’ve done any woodworking, and I figured using up some wood lying around to make trivets for some family members’ Christmas stockings would be a nice easy way to get my groove back. Man oh man, it felt good sharpening a plane blade and making some curls. There’s only so much time a man can spend in front of a computer, this felt real good.

I’ll be taking my sweet lazy time making these for next week’s flight home. Next up will be some layout.
