It’s been a couple of month since I built woodspotting.com. It grew out of the frustration of current RSS readers, and the tiresome aspect of opening 20+ woodworking blogs to see if they had new content. Today, the site gets a regular and growing number of visitors, and tracks more than 100+ woodworking blogs (and growing). It hopefully sends some more traffic to the blog authors and encourages them to keep posting fresh content. Also personally, woodspotting.com saves me a lot of time :) which was my original goal all along.

Today, I made a change to make the site a bit more visual with a running ticker of thumbnail images from the blogs that’ll link back to the original site of the author’s. I’ll be making tweeks over the next few weeks, and hope folks like it. Let me know if you have any thoughts for improvements. Thanks!

I love your site. I check it at the end of most days and look forward to it the way a child looks forward to his or her favorite bedtime story. Thanks for doing this.

Aha! I have my own RSS feeds, but I don’t read them on my tablet. And on the tablet, I’ve subscribed to the electronic version of Fine Woodworking, but am going to drop that when it comes up for renewal because it’s kinda the same content rehashed year after year.

If I bookmark this on the tablet, I’ll have awesome woodworking content in an easy to browse format. Thanks!
