I just posted a couple of short videos of “Friendship” under sail, taken from on board. They are posted to the original project post, my first at: http://lumberjocks.com/projects/37786
One was shot last summer and the other this past weekend on my way to a small boat rendezvous at Montague Harbour in the Canadian Gulf Islands, my front yard, so to speak. They are short, but if you’re a sailor they’ll make you smile.
Paul
Edit: June 2012
I have replaced the videos above with longer ones. If you’re not a sailor you may be bored.

:-) Awesome. I thought of you sitting there enjoying that with your hands on it, with “I MADE this” in the back of your mind.

That’s true Barb, for the first season.
After that the actual thought is replaced by just a big smile and a warm sort of feeling.

I’m not a sailor but this made me smile. Maybe cause I like boats and fishing too. The “Friendship” is beautiful!

What a gorgeous dream boat! And you turned your dream boat into reality. I truly envy you, Paul.

God, Paul. That look’s like soooo much fun. Many years ago I had three of four boatbuilding books and use to look at them all the time and dream about building a boat someday. I still have the books but no boat. I never did get around to building one. It’s just another one of those dreams that go by the wayside like so many dreams do. I makes me smile when I see people live their dreams. She’s a very beautiful boat and I can only imagine how you feel about her.
