Grinder Dust Control on the Q&D

I wanted to do some grinder shaping on a seat for my Chevalet this morning and needed to control the dust. I cut, folded and taped an old box and stuck a 4” DC hose into it. I know this isn’t new but it came out looking so cool I just had to post it. Oh yes .. It worked like a hot damn. I didn’t even need a respirator.

Now if I could get the pack rats to live in this lovely little house instead of under the hood of my car when I’m away, I’d really have something.

I built a roof just like that once Paul, making the roof trusses was a headache. You should take up architectural design.I know people who’d pay to live in a house like

Looking forward to seeing the seat Paul. I’m sure it will be much more comfortable than sitting on that narrow board you have on the chevalet now!

By the time you actually finish that thing, it will probably have air conditioning and a power seat! (grin)

Reminds me of a TV programme they had over here, when I was a kid, called Blue Peter. They used to make all kinds of stuff out of cardboard boxes, wire coat hangers etc. etc. I’m not knocking it, you understand, I do more or less the same kind of thing myself. Ingenuity is great, isn’t it?
