All is good. Blade was surprisingly straight after binding. What was off was my table top relative to the blade. I found some overly simple tips on alignment from the Wood Whisperer on YouTube. My table was over 1/8” out of alignment over the 8” or so of exposed blade. This became obvious to me after making my first ZCI (now in the trash bin). It was very clear it was out.
Next I lined up my fence relative to the table (and blade), and then adjusted the fence vertically with a speed square. Installed the custom riving knife also.
Got 4 new ZCI’s roughed and have a new Oshlun combo blade on the way. For now, I’ll keep the garbage Ridgid blade for rough cuts. Very happy with the saw at this moment. Feels good to make some saw dust after keeping this bad boy packed up for over a year.
