no previous part Part 1 of Baileigh table saw series Part 2: Baileigh Table Saw Assembly »

My new Baileigh table saw came today. YAYYY:) It is model TS-1040P the 50in version. It’s a good thing Baileigh packaged it so well, because FedEx was not very gentle with it. The boxes were pretty beat up, but the guy was really good about helping me open it to make sure there was no damage.(Maybe it was because I had the video camera out lol). Luckily I didn’t find any visable damage. I would hate to have to wait for a replacement part because I can’t wait to get it up and running and make my first cut!! For those of you that don’t know, Baileigh had a $1600 machinery give away contest. You had to submit a video(or other type of entry) about why you should win, and I won!!! It came at about noon today so I have been out in the shop doing all that I can. I pretty much have everything unpacked. I have also degreased everything that had grease, and I have waxed/oiled all the CI. I really can’t put anything together until Eric gets home. I don’t want to weigh the body down before we get it off the pallet and there is nooo way I can do that by myself lol. He may even have to call in a friend or 2 for back up. So, since I have some time I am going to read through the instruction manual and go to lowes to get a plug and anything I will need to hook up the dustcollection. I REALLY hope to get it running tonight, so I will update once I get everything together, and hopefully running! I am also doing a video, so hopefully I will be able to post that tonight too. I’ll be back!!

Again… I’m really happy for you. Believe it or not I DO know what you’re feeling. Back in 2001 I was raising money for a charity that benefits children with cancer and my name was pulled out of the barrel. I won a Honda Gold Wing! o yeah, I know that feeling of the day it finally gets delivered :-)

Oh, and when you’re making the vid, dont forget that happy dance you and Payton are supposed to do for us.

Again, so happy for ya Shelly, noone could be more deserving! Don’t get too anxious and over look a “MINOR” detail in the assembly instructions, and then be disappointed with the first cut results. Proper alignment is everything. Besides, you are still enjoying that new band saw.

Thanks guys:) The saw is together!!! yayyy!! It cuts AMAZING!! I can’t wait to get the video up to show everyone how great it is:) I have a TON of footage to go through and it’s 3am, so I am going to do as much as I can before I pass out lol. I would like to thank Baileigh again for giving me this amazing opportunity. It really is an awesome saw, and I am not just saying that because I won. Anyone can watch the video and see:) Lots more updates on the way!! Thanks:)

First video is saving now! For some reason it takes it forever to save….like 10min/min of video, and then the same to upload. So, I will have the arrival video ready in an hour or 2. It will be posted on here and youtube. I am working on getting the assembly video ready. I am trying to split them up a little so I can get them posted faster. Stay tuned!

Unfortunately it will only let me work on one vid at a time, so I can’t even work on the next when the other is saving. But I can tell you I am VERY impressed with the saw! My test cuts were on oak that was over and inch thick, and you couldn’t even tell you were cutting anything. And the cut was amazingly clean even without a ZC insert or backup on my miter fence. Soon as I get them posted you can see for yourself:)
