I've been retired for several years and my retirement motto is - do whatever is fun and irresponsible - I had enough years doing what was not so fun and responsible.

I'm 73 and still have all of my fingers. Although one had a minor pinched end that split open, when at work, got caught between a connecting rod and piston that weighed around 1,200 pounds.

In my later years I build wood projects that don't take too long but they're fun . Similar to the scenario of not buying green bananas.

Even getting on in the years I enjoy reading and seeing how others do some of their wood work and especially their work arounds difficult situations.

I don't own a hammer drill screw driver or whatever they be called and really don't need one. I still install screws the old fashion way by boring an anchor hole followed by a larger pilot hole followed by a counter sink or counter bore when necessary. Don't have too much time remaining above the surface but I have time to still do it right.
