I have a small piece of Maple burl, and have never turned this type before. Is there anything I sould know before starting in. It is not large about 5"x5"x10". Thought about a weed pot or something along those lines. Any help or comments would be appreciated.

Nice looking shop space, but it is far too clean and organized! Get in there a make a mess! You have a great mix of old and new equipment. Love the saw.
