I found out about Andrew Crawford via an article somewhere here at Lumerjocks. For those who don’t know, he is a master box maker.
I joined his mailing list at fine-boxes.com fine-boxes.com/ and just received his newsletter with a link to his article “A Riddle in the Sand”.
Very, very interesting.
In the article, Mr. Crawford argues that abrasives have evolved rapidly in recent decades and should be part of the toolkit of any woodworker, not just for finishing and preparation, but for construction of precise, quality wood projects.
He is a bit coy with detailed techniques, but he hints at the potential of these tools and whets one’s appetite for more.
Check it out!
