island #1: what stain would use

The top and drawers and doors are oak the sides are birch plywood, I am thinking dark tung oil on top and mission oak poly on the rest…

I don’t know anything about staining, but I love the design. I can’t wait to see how it looks when you add the stain. Very cool.

Use a clear finish. In my opinion, stain nearly always just hides the natural beauty of the wood.
