Hello all! Looking to try again at an Arizona Picnic/get together. Did not have much turn out for the last one. We were at the Kiwanis park in Tempe and we were a little hard to find.
I am checking into Woodcraft to see if they will let us use their class room. It will be air conditioned so we would be out of this wonderful 110 degree Arizona heat. ( but it;s a DRY heat…...so is the OVEN!!)

Looking to have this get together on June 25th. Let me know if this works. Sorry only 2 weeks away.

Please drop a line here or PM me if interested. I will keep you all informed on the Woodcraft status.

Hope to here from you soon.
Scrappy

P.S. will be sending PM’s about this to all LJ’s I know in the area.

I would love to attend, but I already have plans for June 25th and work in the afternoon. Let me know when the next one will be. There was one just last Saturday put on by Eddy, a few attended but again, work got in my way.

Hi Scrappy -

Thanks for the PM about this. I’ll be sure to come – whether its on the 25th or if you move it to a date that Woodcraft has open. Maybe they can advertise it too, and invite others on the condition they join either LJ or AAFW?

The 25th looks good for me… keep me posted of the location & time… I’ll be there. Not sure if the Mrs will be able to attend this time.

I just got off the phone with WoodCraft.

June the 25th is a good date! Figure about 11PM to 2 or 3PM

Found out a 3ft sub is $33.00 If I can get one will you all agree to chip in on the cost?

Still need chips and soda also.

Let me know what you think.

Sounds good Eddy.

We are looking at about 7 people at this time. Please let me know if any one is bringing a quest so we can make sure we have enough food.

Have had a couple of questions about maybe a tool swap?
Feel free to bring what ever tools you might want to trade or sell. I am sure that would be fine with WoodCraft. I don’t think a wood swap would be a good idea unless we keep it discrete (out in the parking lot) WoodCraft does have wood for sale and I don’t want to cause trouble that way. (they don’t sell used tools though)

Does any one else have anything to bring and trade? Maybe even a finished project or 2?

Look forward to seeing every one.

Thanks
Scrappy

I’ll be there – not sure about my wife yet (she just got a new horse trailer yesterday and may be playing with it or her horse).
