This is a great site, I hope to see some of your work. You should have easy access to some nice wood where you are.

Thanks for the welcome, I just move here from Wa state. I am very impressed with everyones work, it is all art! I am gathering supplies for a stand up surf paddle. Bob Babcock, koopmaun, and Timbers have done some amazing things with their paddles and I just started SUPing about a month ago, so a paddle it is. I’ll document the build, but for the next two weeks it’s family time with all the relatives coming in for the holidays!
Aloha and Mele Kalikimaka!!

Welcome aboard Scott. Glad you share the stoke. Both for the paddles and the paddling. Can you get over to Maui for a few days around Feb 15th? Brother Bill is doing a big SUP board test comparison and is looking for volunteers.

You two would have some interesting conversations. He was Navy nuke operator, started in subs and then ran the original Enterprise’s reactor during the Vietnam war.
Thanks for the kind words. Looking forward to seeing your paddle.

Thanks for all the positive comments, I can’t wait to post some projects up…I just haven’t done anything yet. My sister is here and they have never seen the ocean, let alone a place this crowded. I’m in the process of getting my materials for a paddle, trust me I am ready.

Gene,
Thanks for the acknowlegement…I feel a little guilty sometime when people say thanks. Really, I work with some really great people, get to travel and do some really amazing things, and I get to live in Hawaii!! Enough said…

Bob, I’m going to get in contact with you brother through the link. I’d love to get my feet wet over in Maui. Hello Superferry!!! oh and Mamas Fish house too!! Anyways, can you believe those Pats, they are absolutely punishing the league!, and the Celtics are dominating this year. I look forward to following them this season. I wish I had NESN out here! So yeah, amily will be leaving in a day or so I’ll be asking you a bunch of questions as I get my first paddle going. Hey thanks again.
