I spent half my morning shoveling – not snow, but a pile of rocks (pea stone for the garden beds/paths), and then did some raking.

C’mon it’s the middle of January people! I should have been shoveling a foot of snow, and then had a nice warm bowl of soup, I shouldn’t be outside without a jacket and hat!...

Perhaps the powers that be heard that I like Fall the best, and are prolonging the season for my pleasure! If so, I’d like to request a mild and brief winter, a pleasant spring (as dry as possible without ecological consequenses. and a perfect, slightly mild summer, temperatures as close to 72 as possible, and a nice long growing season! That or make fall last all year, with a little snow on Christmas morning.

Cleaning the house, looking for things to keep or toss (in an attempt to get through my ridiculous project backlog), i found a couple more to add to the woodworking list (Will it ever end! Will I ever learn?)

I came across a box of short stool legs, I suppose I was going to make my daughter a small table and chair – suppose I’d better get to that before she’s too big for such things – if she isn’t already – or perhaps I’ll make some nice footstools?

I also found a few pieces of Ipe I bought off eBay. Was going to make a birdhouse or feeder. At least that project has no mandatory completion date!

So, I guess theres two more logs onto the projects pile! at least I have the materials, so they’re essntially “Free”. As I head up to the attic to clear out some more stuff to take to the dump, who knows what else I’ll find!

Modified resolution: Everything I’ve previously started, will get finished this year, or will “go away” I will have a blank slate (or rather only a “to do”, not a “when will you ever get this done” list!

I can just see the college crowd flocking to the hot and sunny shores of Northern Quebec for Spring break!

Max, With all the rain we’ve had since thanksgiving we would have been pummeled. Sun’s out, but we are expecting things to change tomorrow!

She’s got a great imagination Obi! :)
