Served 20 yrs. in the Royal Australian Navy. Vietnam service. After leaving the Navy, served for 10 yrs. in what is now a component of Australian Federal Police. retired in yr. 2000. Looking for a hobby in retirement I became a member of Bribie Island Woodworkers. Initially concentrated on carving but later did a bit of marquetry, pyrography and did a course in scroll sawing which has now become my favourite form of woodworking. I purchased a 21" Exclibur several years ago and am very happy with it.
I'm 68 yrs old, married, two married children and four grandkids. By accident I recently met "Degoose " who resides not too far from me and I'm looking forward to learning some skills from him

Welcome. Good to have another LJ from Down Under.

Be sure to check in on DeGoose – he is not too far from you.

Thanks, Fellow LJ’s. for your welcoming comments!
Tootles, I do know DeGoose, actually it was him that introduced me to this site. We’re both ex Navy men (Australian Navy, that is!) and we live about 20 minutes drive apart. But he has a much better workshop set up than I do! Unfortunately!!
