Here is a posting that appeared on Craigslist. This sounds like a complete shop with lumber for $3200. This looks like a nice deal to me for anyone interested in purchasing some Grizzley tools.

Yeah, no pictures, but the guy says all the tools work great. I can only imagine.

Caveat emptor!!! I am generally skeptical about buying used equipment since I know what my stuff is like when I finally force myself to let it go. But that is also why I probably will never be able to say “Wow I scored a bargain today!”.

We are seeing a lot more of this. I’m afraid we will see a lot more in the months to come. I saw a great deal on a bandsaw the other day. Nice old powermatic. I’d have loved to get it. This is the first year I’ve had tools wear out and not been able to replace them. My big compressor bit the dust, lost a staple gun, 2 inch nailer, and a belt sander. Not a good year for tools.

It is a bummer that you were not able to follow up on the bandsaw, Dennis. I know how you feel. I saw a 5 year old Powermatic 3520b lathe with a complete set of Sorby gouges about 6 months ago that was listed for 1800. Needless to say it was gone the next day.

FYI – I totaled up the new value of the big tools not counting the wood, clamps, etc. $4400 including shipping.
