Well I am in the middle of building my new shop. I built a 12×24 detached building in my backyard. This is as big as I could go with not taking up too much of the yard. I’ve been planning this for about 5 years, so when I had the money, I knew exactly what I wanted. I designed it myself and made it very sturdy. Someplaces I just overkilled it. Over those 5 years I did real small projects in my basement. I loved doing the work but hated doing it in the basement. Also I have been collecting tools along the way. I was at an auction and found a brand new grizzly lathe for $75. It retails for $875. That replaced my older craftsman one. So I am almost done with my new shop. The electric is ran, all outlets and lights are wired. It is about 90% insulated. I can’t wait to get all my tools wired up and start making some wood chips. I will update the photos this week.

Yea, I’m pretty pumped up. I’ve been working pretty late most nights.
Cabinetmaster, If you don’t mind me asking, and since you have a similiar size. How do you have it arranged. I have been working onm this alot and am still up in the air with it.
Thanks

This looks like you are off to a good start on your shop. I don’t blame you for being on an adrenaline high. I would be too if I was in the middle of a shop build. It is a lot of work but I am sure you will be well pleased with the end result.

Keep us posted on your progress.
