Hello All,
Over the last few years, I have been collecting all kinds of tools. I am moving my machine and boxes and boxes of hand tools and accesories. I am looking for a storage solution that would be wall mounted to hold all the hand tools and power tools. I was thinking of a wall hung cabinets to house my hand held power tools, and at least another to house my hand tools. I need to do this on the cheap side as I spent alot of money on the shop, but on the other hand I don’t want it to look like a peice meal job. I was thinking of having deep doors for storage on the inside of the doors.
Does anyone have any plans I can copy off of or any ideas of what I can do? Or where to look? I don’t get any subsriptions to magazines anymore but will probably start. So I can not reference any issues of shop notes etc…

I just build and design my own storage shelves and cabinets for my shop. It is much cheaper and practical than buying them and as a woodworker I could not possibly see buying anything that I could build myself. I just like the proud feeling from doing it.

I’ve always been a fan of the peg board system for 1 main reason, I can see everything. I think this is the best solution for hand tools. Personally for the power tools I would build an open shelf system rather than cabinets for the same reason as before, their easier to see/locate. Then again you could always make one of these:
