Good morning LJ’s,

Last night we ( my co-workers and myself) Celebrated the retirement of My good friend and Business adviser Mrs.Sheila. To most of us it was a happy time however I hope I don’t sound stingy but it was a sad time for me :(
Sheila was special to me as she was the only one who bought chairs from me this year, give me free Business advice she had gathered from her late husband who ran a construction business, and always a great person when I needed a person to talk to about anything and didn’t have to worry about it getting spread all over the workplace.
Thursday night I was informed by her to leave my bike at home she would give me a ride home, she lives on the other side of town !!!! approx 15-25 miles away, and while she was supposed to be receiving gifts she selflessly took it upon herself to drive a co-worker as myself home her last night at work!! I dedicate this blog to her as the company I work for looses another good one, I just can’t simply or easily put it into words how certain people can enrichen the lives of others . All that seem to be left on the job are troublemakers, backstabbers, cheaters and people who want to see you fail so they can get ahead. As we usher the new Generation of workers out where I work at all I can say is it don’t look good they have no pride in their work, themselves, or any ethics as far as their fellow man is concerned all they care about is the company and what is in it for them not all as a family or a team.
Sheila taught us all an important lesson but only two of us got it me and my co-worker Dirshawn, the lesson was how far are you willing to go!! Are you willing to take the initiative to show someone unrelated to you that you care about them? There maybe that co-worker who needs you at the right moment, a perfect stranger needing help, or just a kind word, Someone may need encouraged or uplifted, bring a smile upon someones face, treat others better than yourself, kind words heal where as harsh words breed hate and bitterness. This ties into running a business as you may have a customer, employee, or a business associate who needs some of the above as a team you can accomplish more whether the team is two or is fifteen. Great things are accomplished through the above things and through love, encouragement, and the willingness to say I am not going to let you give up because I care about you :) I went into my shop and while I waited for her to call to let me know she got home safely I reflected on tonight and the past few years we worked together and cried a little :(
How many of you are willing to go as far as needed to help someone even if it means being totally selfless on your special night?
