Good evening lumber jocks as you may notice I wasn’t able to post last weeks blog from the shop this was due to computer problems and this week I write from my 4GB laptop to replace my 6 year old computer :)
My old computer gave up it’s last ghost after trying to keep up with the internet and failing miserably,It crashed,:( Along with my loan proposal, business plan and a few other key documents needing transferred I am almost up and running and this week has taught me not to go to fast.
Everything has a reset button electronics, machinery, and people :| yes I said people !
Starting a business is a fun and rewarding but challenging experience and you may not realize it but you have a reset button for this application in life, mine got pressed Friday after my computer acting up, trouble on my job, and few key phone calls not getting returned I was at my peak to say the least :(
Saturday morning my computer give up it’s last and I was fed up, my friend Annie helped me get this computer but some favorable advice came from her that I was trying to hard, by that evening I noticed the button had been pushed and there was nothing I could do but start over, and this is what I intend to do from my new from the shop blogs to how I am growing my business from this point on. I will start tomorrow my blog so ya wanna be a pro explaining the ends and outs of starting a business in wood working.
until next week Take care

I sure hate it when that happens:-(( Seems like MSN could have left teh crashing and burn out when they built them :-(( I always keep the smoke in when I do electrical jobs. Why can’t they? Fortunately we raised a ‘puter guru that comes the the rescue and saved all my data last time it happened a year ago ;-)

“The Hurrier I Go…The Behinder I Get.” NOT intended as a Joke!

I learned that MANY years ago. It’s NOT so much WHAT happens, It’s how you REACT to what happened, and WHAT, if anything you are going to do or NOT do about it.

About 5 years ago I began to notice a somewhat “Self Inflicted” (Necessity) Personality change taking place. It’s to the point now that if Anything happens, or “Goes Wrong”, my Psyche? “Chills” Instantly. I’m NOT consciously TRYING to do that. It just Happens.

e.g. The other day a Lady Talking on her cell phone thumped the back end of my car stopped at a Red Light. Big Sigh from me, deep breath, quietly got out of the car. She’s Ranting & Raving a bunch of BS at me. I asked (Told) Her to Calm DOWN, asked politely for her ID and so on …..You get the point.

We also have anticipation. Good OR Bad. “I’m going to quit Smoking!” NO you won’t because you keep talking about it and “That which you concentrate on GOOD or BAD, Positive or Negative is what you bring unto you.” AND,,, The Subconscious Mind can NOT deal with “Maybes or Intentions”. It WILL understand, spoken or not, “I don’t smoke.”

It works.

When you’re down….. you’re in the way of the stampede. I like that one ;-))

Hey man, stay focused. You have a real positive attitude and motivation to move forward. Keep that mindset, don’ forget that mindset.
Seasons of life and our businesses come, the character you display through that situation can really have an affect on you your friends around you and your business you are trying to build.
It’s a computer, oh well… let get back out in the shop and let the sawdust fly and land where it should.
