This week saw three more of my chairs leaving to their home, and boy what a week my friends :)
After I posted about last week I wound up moving back into my old shed Primarily to store lumber and chairs due to the cramped nature of my shop I will probably be assembling them in there to if I don’t find a better way of storing my tools!!!! I am currently re-doing my layout to ease congestion, and to benefit me assembling them at 3:00 am if need be!!!!
This week at work was a rough one and a major decision maker for me, either sit and be miserable or get going on being a woodworker, after getting aggravated to no end on Friday by management, calculating my raises for three years equaled only .35 per hour for three years although it was actually .60 not even enough to buy a cup of Joe :( and not being able to do my other hobby in over a year, my model railroads I figured on launching an all out effort in getting started. During one of my conversations with on of my friends he offered to help me with my business plan and doing projections. Boy does this help by getting a better grip on what I am doing and to help get a loan for $15,000 a long shot but a feasible one. After talking to a co-worker about things he gave me some great encouragement he said Quote: You are a woodworker not a business person this is why you have so much trouble and frustration, concentrate on what you do best and leave the rest to people who know what they are doing!!!! After hearing this things come into reality and now I need to focus on what needs to be done not what I want to. Having a festival coming up in June I need to get on the ball if I want to do it and be profitable at it. Also finding other things besides cabinets to build will help greatly.
I know this week to focus on getting things set up to run and running, not looking back or focusing on the wrong things, forgetting the past three years and going forward with my career as a woodworker :)
So I guess I have no time to sit do I ?
