WALNUT END TABLE

This five drawer end table has walnut plywood sides and the rest is solid stock. The top drawer is a real functioning drawer with the do it yourself suede lining. The other four drawers are TV trays that pull out and fit nicely in your lap. The white material in the trays is Corian 1/4” thick. I did manage some dovetail joints on the top drawer using my Delta dovetail jig.

Finished with a light walnut stain and five coats of tung oil.

Now I think it’s time to shut down the shop for a month or two and hopefully get a new shop built. wish me luck on that one.

END TABLES AND TV STAND FOR THE COLLEGE STUDENT

Well, here is the latest project out of the garage shop. These we made from native red oak with minwax red oak stain and poly. Two end table 18”x24”x24” the TV stand is 20”x48”x24”. It’s all pocket hole construction. To top it all off we used an opaque solid surface to protect the tops through these college years. It’s cool stuff, it buffs out smooth so you can see the suspended pieces of glass inside it. The imporant thing is she loves them. These babies were built to last the many moves she has ahead of her.
