SOME 25 YEARS AGO I GOT MY DEGREE IN INDUSTIAL EDUCATION. MAN I WANTED TO BE A WOOD TEACHER. THAT LASTED ABOUT TWO YEARS, WHEN I FOUND OUT YOU NEED MONEY TO LIVE.
SO, ABOUT 12 YEARS AGO I BOUGHT MY CRAFTMAN CONTRACTOR SAW. AND IT SAT IN MY GARAGE FOR ABOUT 8 YEARS. THEN A CO-WORK / FRIEND, YOU MAY KNOW HIM AS BRAD WANTED TO START A NEW HOBBY. AND SO I GOT TO TEACH AGAIN.
THE FLAME WAS LIT ONCE AGAIN. AS LUCK WOULD HAVE MY WIFE HAS LOTS OF PROJECTS FOR ME. BUT FIRST WE HAD TO GET SOME MORE TOOLS. SO, AFTER FOUR YEARS THE GARAGE IS NOW A SHOP.
AS IT SHOULD BE.
I FIND THAT WOODWORKING IS ONE OF THE GREATEST WAYS TO CLEAR THE MIND. I CAN'T GET ENOUGH.
ABOUT THE REST OF MY LIFE. I'M MARRIED TO A WONDERFUL GAL NAMED CHERYL AND I HAVE A BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER THAT PLAYS COLLEGE VOLLEYBALL AND IS THINKING ABOUT MED SCHOOL. SO I HAVE TO HURRY AND BUY ANY TOOLS I WANT, NOW.
OTHER THAN WOODWORKING WE LIKE GARDENING, WATER GARDENS AND FLYFISHING.

Welcome Sarge! Nice to have you on board. I have a similar path in that I wanted to be a shop teacher but also wanted money (plus most school shops were being turned into computer labs). I do teach at a local community shop which is nice to have. Looking forward to seeing your projects.
