Sept 4 2010I have started a pair of night stands for our bedroom after they are done I will make the bed head board and a foot board with a TV lift inside so here is the start of the project I tend to get caught up in building and not take the time to document and take photos. Part 2: Side panels allmost ready for assembly

I am laying out the legs now to accept the panels and railsThis is where the center stile will fit into the top and bottom rail.The tenons are only 1/4” and the panels will float in the rails and stiles. The strength that holds the sides together will be from the rails, the top and bottom shelf which will be 3/8” X 1 1/4” tenons pined from the legs.

Part 3: Finally after changing my mind 3 times!

First it was CHERRY panels then it was Quilted MAKORE. That did not work because of the color variations from brown to Pink to red and missing quilt pattern in some boards. Not very nice. So I went back to cherry then someone (No longer here) offered me some Vernier which I accepted but it was brittle and old and I was not sure if it was going to crack when I applied it, I did loose the first 2 sheets so I went back and started looking at the cherry. Part 4: Last stages og the night stands

Well its been a long time in the works but I am finally in the home stretch, life gets in the way but like a fine wine you cant rush it. So here is a short video of what I hope is near the end of this project. Then on to the Head and foot board for the bed.
