https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=391820547647770&set=vb.100004594831839&type=2&theater Here is my friend Falah Alhaidri from Iraq, demonstrating his ability in woodturning. Observing the speed and the quality of his work is one thing, but, his ability ability producing tens of identical columns with naked eye is another thing. He grew up watching his grandfather, the cabinet maker, since he was 6 years old. He was a uni graduate but he left his teaching career and took his grandfather business because he loved it. Woodturning, carving, cabinet making are just few of his works. The modern machines are not available in Iraq under these living conditions, you know, so, he made his own lathe and tools. He told me he had many more idea but he could not create them for not having some machines. If you click on his name which written in Arabic, above, you will see more of his works.
