I’ll be moving my shop to a larger room in my basement. I got a second ShopSmith, a Model 510, and added a Scroll Saw. With the decision to keep both SS machines, I gave up trying to work in the smaller space. I will update this page, with pics when I have moved. Meanwhile, I continue to use the current setup:
My very small shop, 9’x13’, has a workbench, a ShopSmith Mark V Model 500, a SS Band Saw on a stand, and a SS Dust Collector eating up floorspace. Power hand tools include a couple of drills, a circular saw, jig saw, and an old Craftsman router. I also have a couple of SS tools that attach to the SS, a belt sander and a jointer.
It is a lot for the small space and I am needing to make some roll-a-round storage for it.
Also, there is so much to learn how to use. Sometimes it feels like I have to know everything at once. I have owned the jointer for 3or 4 months and other things keep keeping me from setting it up and learning about it :-(
