I reciently made trip to North Carolina and while there I stopped in and visited the local The Klingspor Store. The most interesting thing abut the store is the sandpaper. Klingspor is a sandpaper manufacturer and one of the side effects of are leftover pieces of sandpaper as they are cut from the roll. In the not so distant past these remnants were thrown away. Part 3: Glass Sheets for the Scary Sharpening System
One of my Christmas gifts is due in tomorrow, a Veritas Mk.II Honing Guide, my kids got it for me via a gift card. I made these Glass Sheets along with the honing guide to use in the Scary Sharp system. I use the 3M micro-abrasives as specified over at Brent's Sharpening Pages. The glass is 3/32”x6”16” and the boards are from a pile of oak shorts I purchased a while back.
