Latest Update.
The Woodorking Show people have given us a booth at the WoodWorking Show at the Sacramento Convention Center on Nov 13, 14, & 15. They also will tell our story in their press release and other print hand-out.

They have made us another offer. FREE TICKETS, but with a condition. They will give us a free ticket for each person that works in our booth.

I am passing that offer to LumberJocks. I will need each reciepient to agree to spend a minimum of 1 hour in the booth. Your task will be to greet anyone that comes by, and tell them of the LumberJocks. I would also liike a sing-in sheet to be maintained so that I recognize those attending.

BTW, this is a great chance to set down and rest your weary legs/feet/bones. When you need to set for a few minutes, you have a spot, and get a free ticket for setting down! Is that an offer or what!

I will need a commitment from each person wishing to help. I will personally order the tickets and mail those out. Please contact me thru LumberJocks, and I will contact you directly with my personal e-mail address so that we might privately exchange address.

Of course, we intend to have an informal meeting of all member around 3 pm on Saturday. Just a chance meet one another, excange some ideas, lie, [Woops, did I say that? I meant to say ‘Brag’]

again—-PM martin asap—-maybe we can get some fliers or shirts or hats or something to pass out…and maybe they will allow a booth for other shows especially if we have a good turnout…

WEAR YOUR SHIRTS!!!

I am not sure if i have any commitments…but if i dont i will be there saturday for sure and would be willing to work the booth for an hour!!!

I will have to get there for sure – most likely will be either Fri or Sat. I would be more then happy to hang out at the booth for an hour or so (I don’t have a LJ shirt myself – hint hint) – once we get a list going I can see the times that are lacking and will fill in one of the blanks….Sacto is a bit of a drive from where I’m at….seems that way for most of CA…

I don’t know about others, but I have a couple of items on my shopping list. This Woodworking show and the meeting will give me lots of time to compare and make decisions.

I am impressed with the support for the ‘LumberJock’s Get-To-Gether in California’ in mid November. If I am keeping accurate records, about 28 people have committed to attending.

Don’t forget, if you will agree to spend an hour in the LumberJock’s booth, then I believe we can get you a free ticket to get into WoodworkingShow.

I have been invited to show my latest project, the 1917 International Auto Wagon. I included that project in LuberJocks Project list just a couple of days ago. I need to work out a couple of details, but I will try to have it in the display.

How about it? Any more committing to attend.

All who have responded to the California lumberJocks meeting…......
I have recorded your offer to help. I will try to get something organized in the next week or so. I will then get up some sort of schedule. I personally expect to remain in the booth part of the time. However I also expect to make several of the demonstrations. I also have a few $$$ that need to be ‘Invested’ in the “Latest-’n-Greatest” technoligy.
Will keep in touch….....

I have been offered free tickets to those working in the Lumberjock booth. You would need to plan on spending one hour minimum hangging out in the booth. All you need to do is ‘Meet ‘n Greet’ and stay in the booth for one hour.

Will you be attending? Will you be able to spend an hour or two in the booth?
If so I will get a ticket for you to get into the Woodworking Show.
Show dates Nov 13, 14, & 15. 2009 @ the Sacramento Convention Center.
Please respond promptly with a SNAIL mail address.

I am working on a banner…...........If I can get my plotter set up to landscape a nice big one. I will also have some 8.5” x 11” handouts with the LumberJock info. Probably print up 500. That should be enough.

Of Course, if you wish to help at the booth…..........I should be able to get you a free ticket. I will be ordering those ticket on Wednesday for those that have notified me. I will need a snail-mail address to get the tickets out to everyone. Reminder…....tickets are limited. Only about 20 ticket now left as others have been spoken for by members pledging to stay in the booth for a hour or so.

The Northern California Woodworking show starts in less than 72 hours (three days), at the Sacramento Convention Center, downtown Sacramento. And the Lumberjocks will have a booth, compliments of the Woodworking Shows, Inc. A number of area LumberJocks have agreed to set in the booth for an hour or two on each of the three days. To all of those who have replied and said they will be in the booth, I have sent tickets. The tickets went out via snail-mail yesterday.

I am looking forward to meeting Napaman, Ormsby, Blake, Medictim, and about a dozen others. {Sorry, all of those others names have gotten mixed up in my mind!}

I will bring a few samples of the woods I have harvested from the ‘urban forest’ in the San Joaquin Valley.

I hope each of you will bring some sample of your work, or at least a few pictures of those special projects.

Someone asked where our booth will be located……............I have no idea. I expect to know sometime around 8 AM on Friday.

Anyone want to contact me, please do so via cell 209 552 9583

I just learned that the Lumberjocks booth will be space 615. We will be between ‘WoodMiser” and the Show-Off space. Across the aisle will be ‘Peachtree’

Please come by and say ‘Hi’

BTW, I need some help at 10 AM Friday to roll ‘Grandpa’ the old truck into the space provided by the Woodworking Show people. Can Anyone help me tomorrow Morning?
