Went to lowes to get some pocket hole screws, which they didn’t have. but checked the close out table. Got 4 qt’s of Cabot stains for $1 each , a gallon of stain (also Cabot) for $2 and a gallon of Minwax water base poly for $10. I don’t know if this was limited to my store or something going on throughout the chain but it might be worth looking for if you happen in to a lowes.
