« Part 6: Almost Done Part 7 of Shop Stuff. series no next part

Just had to add my own free wood gloat. Last fall a friend of a friend decided to clean out his workshop. My friend called me and asked if I was interested. I couldn’t get there fast enough. We loaded up in my truck and hit the road.
Let me say first I thought I might get 2 or 3 boards out of this trip but decided what the heck. We get there and talk to the guy and he’s decided he doesn’t have the room for everything he had and we started loading my truck up. And kept loading.

I ended up with quite a haul. List includes: Bubinga, Paduak, Hard Maple, Soft Maple, Birdseye Maple, Walnut, Brazilian Walnut, Willow, Mahogany, White Oak, Red Oak, Cedar, Cherry, Poplar, Zebrawood, and Lyptus. I think there’s more but can’t remember what right now. Some long boards and a lot of short pieces. Other than Hard Maple and Walnut, there’s not a whole lot of any one type but I thought I got a heck of a deal for the total cost of a tank of gas in my truck and a couple of cokes for me, my son, and my friend.

Hmmmm, I came on here to say something Robert, but I can’t remember what it is… Oh, now I remember… I hate you!

Just kidding :) Great score! That should help keep the woodshop busy for awhile. Let me know if you need any help cleaning out your woodshop. I will make sure to bring a 12 pack of coke :)

Yep, I’d say I was a little jealous if that were true but it’s not….I’m a lot jealous. Heck of a deal for a couple sodas. Everybody needs friends like that.
