My workshop is a 12×24 basement garage. It gets me by but I dream of a larger dedicated shop someday. The thing I do like about the shop is the fact that I spend a lot of time in the basement of my home and I can just slip out there any time of the day or night and put a coat of finish on something or just mess around even if it is just a 5 or 10 minute job. If the weather is decent I can also just open the overhead and work on something out doors. Lumber storage is a problem, but, I do have a little space in the adjacent basement area. It needs some more lighting, a fresh coat of paint, better cabinets and better benches for my drill press, miter saw, planer and storage. As it improves I’ll post some more photos.

Duane, it looks like you have organized your shop to get the most out of the space you have available. I like the way you have painted the walls white. Doing this helps a great deal with the lighting in your shop. I am glad to see that you have managed to keep the “non-essentials” like mowers, bikes and cars out of there as well. It seems that my wife feels that MY shop has space to store things that she can’t bear to get rid of. This invariably leads to “discussions” which I usually lose.

You have a nice shop space in which to work. Thanks for posting pictures of it. I enjoyed visiting your shop.

It helps if its just a shop and not storage too.

I have the exact size shop… Nice job….It’s always interesting to see how others utilized their spaces… I have recently made some changes to my shop and will be updating the pics…

I enjoyed the tour…
