Retired. Amateur, no formal training in woodworking. What little I know has been learned by trial and much error over the last few years. I make a wide variety of items that just happen to be of interest at the time--some craftsman style furniture, some rustic Mexican style furniture, cutting boards (a requirement?). boxes, lamps, benches, and so on. Pretty eclectic mix of stuff. I do not specialize in anything except trying to keep my wife happy.
My (garage) shop is small and cramped. It is heated (barely) by two infrared heaters that do not do the job under winter conditions when it gets down into the teens and below. So, unfortunately, most of the time my woodworking in the winter is pretty vicarious in nature since I do like to feel my fingers when I am working. I sometimes do my winter glue ups in the entry way to the house where it is warm. However, this severely complicates my efforts to keep my wife happy.
I have a decent collection of tools, both hand and power. But like all other woodworkers I know, I always think there is something else I must have in order to be successful.
Thanks to all who have welcomed me to the site.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.
God Bless
