I know they say a picture is worth a thousand words but I can’t help but feel that a little bit of text would have gone a long way to making this post even more interesting. This looks like an interesting project.

Mark I’m shocked and saddened that your thinking of rehabbing this beautiful chair,Don’t you know you will totally destroy the patina on this rare work of art ?
Hope you know i’m just kidding. Good luck on your rehab it looks like a real challenge.

Well after trying to find hardware for the moving setion of the chair and not able to find anything thats comes even close to what I need, I’ve decided that I’m going to make Pen blanks out of some the wood, I sanded the arm rests and had black streaks in the wood, should make for an interesting pattern on pens.

I’m glad you found another use for it. Using old lumber or furniture for new projects is so much fun. Good luck on the pens.
