I took the Pizza Peel out of the clamps, cleaned off the residue glue with a scraper and had a good look at it.

One of the sides.

And then the other side

It was flat enough to begin trimming it to size with the table saw.

The angle on the front is 15 degrees.

That will have to do for today….. need to run the wife around she just had a knee replacement operation.

Good man Rob, got to enjoy life and look after your best friend…

If I may…encourage your wife that once she’s got clearance to head for the hydrotherapy pool and get walking & cycling through the water.
It helps keep me mobile after a hip replacement and back issue, I go twice a week for 30-50min self managed sessions…

PS – Thanks for the blog on the clamps…..

I imagine the table saw is much faster than the belt sander for the beveled edge! She may not think so, but your wife’s knee looks great! 1+ on the hydro therapy!

Could you post a shot of the end after the saw cut? I think the joints cut at an angle would be very interesting looking!

Looks like a cool project thanks for the blog Rob. before I read about you operation I first saw the photo of your knee I thought how in the world could you have a table saw accident on your knee :)) Just goes to show woodworkers always thinking woodworking.

Thanks for the welfare comments, words of wisdom and support for Aurora’s recovery.

The Pizza Peel is also progressing well too and hopefully will look even better soon!

P.S. No I was not using my knee as a push stick!!
