Started wood work my senior year of High School, by building a 15 ft. runabout boat. It taught me a lot about usiing the right wood in the right spot and how important "lines" are to a pleasing project.
Married for 49 years with 3 children and 3 grandsons. Spend most of my working years in suit and tie, now wear Carhart Bibs, LIFE is GOOD!
Over the years built a number of things for home, mostly because I couldn't find the right thing in the right size, or it was too expensive.
Maybe because of my N.E. Yankee heritage, I seem to have developed a knack of seeing how much I can fit into a given space. Or maybe it came from my years of manageing a manufacturing site, never enough warehouse or floor space for machinery.
Whatever the reason, I really enjoy the challenge of making the utmost use of the space available and designing something that "looks right"
The design and building have been greatly helped by learning CAD in a past life. Not great at it, but know enough to be dangerous!!
