wood turning a egg box.
hi all here is my latest project its a box type egg turned from bog yew
the finish i use was mineral oil
its all made on the lathe from a piece of bog yew that i got from a friend of mine about three years back YOU CAN WATCH THE VIDEO OF IT BEANING MADE FROM START TO FINISH

Nice Egg! The pictures really show off the straight grain in the wood. The photos are really well done. Do you use a light box or something else?
I watched the video last night, good job of course. The wood looks much darker in the video. It could be a chocolate egg like you mentioned.

Nice turning. I remember growing up that panty hose used to come in a plastic version. You probably use it for something totally different though. :-D

ye i used a light box to take the photo and the same camera to shoot the video
its a Panasonic TZ 20 its only a small pocket camera it takes great photos and videos

we use panty hose to rob our banks LOL
