Roubo bookstand #1: Mill the blank

My Furniture Guild is doing a group build of a roubo book stand. http://www.woodwrightschool.com/downloadable-plans/Book%20Stand.jpg A small slab of walnut yielded two of these blanks. It is all milled and squared and thcknessed. Then I layed out the ogives top and bottom. Then layed out the knuckle, drilled one corner and cut slots with a scrole saw.

hope it goes well, i saw that show with the woodwright,and looked interesting and fun. keep us updated.
