Part 1: The wood
My last cutting board project was a lot of fun but it didn’t come out perfectly because I struggled to get my wood stock to a plane & uniform thickness. Well I’ve purchased a planer and it’s time to put it to the test! I picked up some walnut, curly maple, and ash today and they ranged from slightly under 1” thickness to about 1 1/8” thickness.
