Jig for miter fence

Jig for miter fence

I needed to cut some angles that the miter gauge alone wouldn't do. The fence would not turn far enough to cut the line I needed, as seen in the first picture.

I attached an angled piece of scrap to a stop that slides on the fence. By moving it, you can change the angle of the cut.

Here is another view. Both stops are adjustable. I'm sure there are better ways to do this but for what I had on hand this worked just fine.

This is same principal as a sine bar, machinists use for precise angles.

Actually I envisioned you using chop saw!
