Jewelry Chest / Armoires - 1 reply

Good evening all; I received a call from a lady this PM who said that she wanted a jewelry chest / armories with legs. She has about 12 smaller jewelry boxes and wants to put all her jewelry in one organized chest. Any ideas as to where I could purchase a set of plans for such a project? She has a picture of a Bombay jewelry chest that she...

Flat Top Grind 10" Saw Blade - 8 replies

Does anyone know where you can buy one of these things? I’ve been to every big box store, Harbor Freight and all over the web and I cannot find one…....I need one to put keys on mitered corners….all the blades I can find have alternate tops which leaves a small triangle at the bottom of the groove when you cut it on the saw.

Guide Bearings on Grizzly GO555 - 3 replies

Hello to all… From the title of this post you can see what I have for a band saw. It comes with bearing-style guides on both sides of the blade and also one at the back. Almost everything that I’ve read on the web says to keep these bearing guides AWAY from the blade. Some even tell you to use a business card or a dollar bill to ...

Diablo Stacked Dado Set - 3 replies

Good morning all; I just bought the Diablo Stacked Dado Set and I’m going to feel a lot better about this if someone who has experience with stacking these blades explains the procedure. I’ve put the left outside blade onto the arbor first with the rotation in the right direction. Then I put one of the chippers on next. The ...

Porter Cable 15" Floor Drill Press with Laser Light - 4 replies

I just bought this drill press and put it together this morning. The problem I’m having is that I am not sure which v-belt goes on which side when changing the RPM speeds because the two belts are of different sizes. (There is virtually nothing in the manual that refers to anything about this except a chart that shows the placement of the ...

ACME Tools - 11 replies

Hello to all, Has anybody had any dealings with ACME tools? I received a catalog from them the other day and they have the DeWalt DW735X planer, infeed/outfeed tables, extra set of knives and the dust hose adapter and the dust ejection chute on sale for $629.00. This seems like a pretty good price. I’ve read many reviews from folks that...

Rigid TS3650 - 7 replies

Good afternoon, I bought a used 3650 a few months ago and the fella gave me a white plastic throat plate that had not been used before. (No slot in it for the blade to protrude through.) He said to lower the blade until it was below the table top, insert the throat plate, turn on the saw and slowly raise the blade and allow it to cut through ...

Beginning First Project - 7 replies

Good evening to all. As I may have mentioned before I have transformed a small trailer with a 12’ x 24’ (+_) room that I built on the side of it around 27 years ago. We now live in a modular house on the front of the property. For 3 1/2 years I just let the trailer and room sit there so back in June I decided to turn it into a small ...

HP of Porter Cable PCB270TS - 3 replies

I may have posted this question in the wrong forum so I will re-post it here. Does anyone know what the horsepower of the motor on the Porter Cable PCK270TS saw is? Also, is it classified as a “hybrid” saw? Thanks.
