	<p>This is how I make a bottlestopper. This piece of laburnum I got when they cut down this tree , it was only 200 meters from my house!! My bottlestoppers are sold and most of the money goes to charity.</p>

      <title>Sawing some lignum vitae </title>

	<p>A while back we got a lignum vitae log. Now it was time to cut it into usable pieces.</p>


	<p>It was fun to see the machine cutting straight through the log and than seeing the amazing colors in the wood.</p>

	<p>We use up a lot of wood between us LJ&#8217;s. <br />Is all your wood FSC ? Until last year i never really thought about it much but from now on i&#8217;ll only be using FSC-wood of else reclamed timber.</p>


	<p>All the little contributions help a lot!!</p>

        <![CDATA[<p>First i want to talk SPalm for providing the inspiration and his blog in a 3D cuttingboard. This really helped a lot.</p>


	<p>I made some photo&#8217;s during the process and made those in a slide-show. Again there is some nice music on the background bij my pall Gordon Scott.</p>


	<p>This was a project on which a learned a lot. I ended up with some large glue joints. Next time i&#8217;ll do a better job  LOL</p>

      <title>A Few Boxes Under Contruction</title>

	<p>Last weekend I started on some small boxes, just a bit of fun. These projects are a nice way to try out new ideas and see if they work.</p>


	<p>The first serie&#8217;s are made from walnut with a top of pau amarello with maple and walnut veneer.</p>

	<p>The second attempt is based on the stringbox-design i saw on LJ. This is my first attempt and this kind of box making. The body is wenge and the veneer is maple. </p>

	<p>Last week I started my own blog with the help of blogger.com <br />I also wanted to do something like this to come in contact with more woodworkers. It also comes in handy when people want to know what i make. Now I can tell them to visit the blog and they can read all about it.</p>


	<p>The language is dutch because that&#8217;s easiest for me to write in. I&#8217;ve build an a translator and I want to know what you guys/girls think about my first setup.</p>
