Running some ziricote through the thicknesser

Sometimes wood is just beautiful…I’ve got some boards of ziricote in my woodshop…Today I’ve thicknessed one piece to show the grain pattern….

Beautiful wood, and that’s some serious gear you’ve got. Is that a 12” jointer?!

One heck-of-a planer you have there. That lumber is beautiful also

Beautiful wood for sure, but I couldn’t help but notice the planner and jointer either. My Dad taught me to wipe the wood with mineral spirits to see what finish would do to the wood. It won’t raise the grain.

It’s a big planer. We can plane wood up to 500mm wide !!!
