I have been working with wood for 50 years - my dad was a home craftman and I worked with him every chance I had as a kid. My best Christmas presents were my first tool set (7 years old) and a small table top jig saw at 9. My dad was the plywood cabinet type woodworker and eventually moved into building higher style furniture, but his first choice was plywood. He taught himself wood carving and became very good at it. I am not a carver, I enjoy building - I'm building a summer home in Northern Michigan on Lake Huron and when I'm not doing that I build in things in wood. My goal as a woodworker is to build furniture, toys, cabinets, etc. that are as professional as anything on the market.

I am a fair woodworker and I'm lucky to have a fairly complete shop that includes some nice metal working equipment as well - I do tool & die work on the side to complement the woodworking. I like to do everything, furniture, kitchen cabinets, toys, puzzles, and one-of-a-kind things. I do commission work for friends, but in no way is my shop a business.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless
