You maybe amazed what ppl throw away. Have you tried posting a needed post for a dryer on Freecycle.com ?
I see free dryers on there all the time. As a matter of fact I use a free dryer 2 to 3 times a week …lol.
Good luck
We all need wood! ;-)

WAIT! Have you tried to figure out why it died? Dryers aren’t that complicated, so maybe some maintenance is what it needs. Clean out all the lint and dust and then check if the timer or on/off switch is in need of replacement. You can do a search of how to fix one and maybe it’ll save you $$$.

The rollers are shot… the drum no longer turns..not simple lint maintenance… It is really really old… I bought it used 5 years ago for 50 bucks… :)

I’m really sorry, rivergirl. I know that doesn’t do you a whole lot of good. Our washer died a while back so we just got a new set – not that we could really afford it – buts ours was old. I did give our dryer away to somebody who needed it. Maybe someone local to you will give one to you. I hope so – I know that you needed that like you need a whole in your head. Anyways, I hope something turns up.

Greetings rivergirl,

Here’s what I’d do…...go outside, put up 2 metal “T” post in the ground, one at each end of your yard,
string some heavy rope from end to end, and wwwoooooyaahhh…...you have a clothes line to dry things.
Save your money on a new dryer, and go buy more wood….... lol.lol…... Maybe even a new tool!!!!!!!!!

Good news.. I posted on my facebook page a request for a used dryer to purchase.. and hooray… a friend has one in storage to sell me. So for a hundred bucks I am back in the laundry business. I pick it up a 1:00 so that means no wood building today for me.. but at least I won’t have to freeze dry my laundry on the line…

Well, rivergirl, that is good news. I’m glad it worked out. I hope that it’s a real good one.

I saved so much money on that used dryer that I stopped and bought some homemade fudge on the return trip. :) Now I really should go sand some wood…. but wait… there’s fudge..
