My first woodworking experience was when I took "Wood-shop" my freshman and sophomore years of high school. Unfortunately they closed the wood-shop program down so I could not continue my last 2 years of high school. I've always been intrigued with woodworking but due to this crazy little thing called life I never had a chance to pursue my interest. Fast forward about 20 years, things have settled down in my life and I have the time and some resource to finally get back in the shop. I still consider myself a "noob", but am excited to be able to get in the shop an build. I'm slowly building an arsenal of tools as I go and am reading a lot of magazine, books, blogs, threads to as I build by skills. I'll be a hobbyist but plan on building several pieces for my house over the years.

THE WOOD-SHOP (sorry no photos yet).
My house has a detached 600 sqft shop, which my wife is allowing me to dedicate to woodworking(she's da bomb). It is stock with various hand and hand power tools and a Ridgid 4512 table saw. Not a lot yet but it's growing.

I'm looking forward to years of enjoyment as well as making a bunch of saw dust.

Welcome. You have found the right place for woodworking. A great group of people willing to help. Looking forward to see your projects and comments. Work safe in the shop and don’t forget to use pushsticks.

Welcome to LJ. I just put my $0.02 on your forum question and noticed that you’re new to these parts. I’ve found a lot of nice people hear and I’m sure that you will too. Where abouts is Fritch?
