One the percs to living in the islands is that you get to work a lot. Not because the weather is great but because it's dang expensive over here. So I don't have the good shops I once did when I was a freelance boat carpenter for 20 years in southern California. But the good news is my bro (who is a Jock) still lives there and has a great shop. So when I visit my grandkids we always find time to put a toy box or something together for the kids.
