On March 11 – 14, Jet and Powermatic are having a big sale. I’m aware of what the sale price will be on Jet’s 10” x 14” mini lathe. It will be on sale for $279. That’s an incredible price.
As an FYI, I and several other people, just did a turning demo at local tool store on Saturday. The store provided us with a couple of lathes to use, including this Jet mini. I had never turned on a mini-lathe before. I was quite impressed with this little lathe.

Here is what I know – -

It looks like a lot of Jet and Powermatic tools will be on sale but the only 2 prices revealed in this ad are for the lathe and a dust collector.

They have great sales once in a while. I bought a Jet mortiser, a floor model no less, for less than $300 about a year ago. You can’t even get a little bench model at that price. As to the Jet mini-lathe. I agree it’s a great little machine. I bought a used one on CL last year for around $200, so the $279 price is great for a new machine.
