Next month (not sure of the dates yet) I am taking a trip from Iowa to Florida for the primary purpose of attending some spring training baseball games. Baseball is in the top 5 of the true loves of my life.
I am planning a stop in Springfield, MO to visit the Grizzly Showroom there. I would also like to make other stops along the way if there is a store that offers some unique and interesting wood or a gallery of really good woodworking. Does anyone know of such or store or gallery in MO, KY, TN, GA or FL?

Highland Hardware/Woodworking in Atlanta is worth a stop.

Greetings Rich: Here’s a couple of places in Missouri that I get some lumber from from time to time. I have a hardwood place about a mile from my house, so I just use these guys when the need arizes:
Cedar Creek Hardwoods 1092 Madison 9407, Highway O Fredricktown, Mo 1- 573-783-5786 (phone) 1-573-783-8037 (fax)
Since you’re going to Grizzlys anyway in Springfield, you might as well try them…... good hunting.
O.P. Hardwoods Springfield, Mo
1-800-541-0998 Sorry—don’t have an address for them, but you can get it from them when you call.

I’ll second the motion for a stop at Highland Woodworking in Atlanta, although this might not be your closest route south. Also, check with Highland, ( www.highlandwoodworking.com ) to see what classes they might have scheduled.
If coming down I 75 check in with me in Gainesville.

Greetings Todd: Wish I was going to Jupiter in March. The St Louis Cardinals is my favorite team. I ‘ve been watching them for many years. I average watching about 120-130 games a year….. serious fan….lol.
I’ve been to one Cardinals game at the new(well old now) Busch Stadium. I have a better seat right here in my chair than what I had at the game…. but the stadium is beautiful, I have to say…...think of me while you’re there…...and I”ll be cussing you here….. no… just joking…...... enjoy the Cardinals for me…....

If you are going to be in south Florida, Constantine’s in Fort Lauderdale sells exotic woods, veneer, tools, books, etc. Definitely worth a stop by.

When I’m visiting family, I always head there…can’t help it.
