Closet shelving unit

My wife has convinced (ordered) me to put some different shelving in our master closet. I’ve agreed to put in some of the modular shelving units that are made out of particle board. It’s almost below my dignity to work with crap like this but they are cheap and they will go up fast. To build what she wants from scratch would take a lot of time and cost more than these modular units cost. Besides, no one is going to see these shelves other than my wife and me (I hope).

I’m in the middle of a similar project using 1by lumber… If I could go back and do it with pre-fab stuff I would in a heartbeat.

As a remodeling contractor I often have to install the same cheap organizer units.

I feel so filthy after doing so.

A closet is probably the only place we can get away with using pre fab particle board shelving…but i wouldn’t admit that I have done it in the past…oops, I think I just did admit it..OUCH!
My closet has particle board shelving but I eased the pain and regained a little of my dignity by trimming it out in walnut.
