no previous part Part 1 of Best birthday gift ever series no next part

sooo my birthday isn’t actually until April…the 2nd to be exact (yes I’m one of those people who thinks age is only a number – since most days I feel older than I am already ;), but Mr. D (aka Don or Mr. Timetestedtools) was kind enough to have a block plane on hand that I have been keeping my eyes open for for a while. I’m still a major newb when it comes to planes – the only other plane I own is a WoodRiver #4 and I’m still trying to cover the basics and get a decent planing setup going. That aside… I ordered a Craftsman 306/307 from Mr. D in February and this is it’s story.

Planes are an incredibly useful tool and an icon of our hobby. The more I use mine the more I value just how useful they are. Proper planing is definitately a skill worth developing. Looking forward to following you on this journey:-)
