I have been a woodworker for many years, making a variety of items including small functional pieces (bookshelves, small furniture items, etc.) as well as wooden toys. I retired almost four years ago and was re-bitten by the woodturning hobby which I had not done since high school many years ago.

When I am not working at my part time job in a local hardware store, I still make toys for my two small grandchildren but spend most of my free shop time at my Jet 1642 EVS lathe. I especially enjoy turning bowls from green wood (and have a large and growing supply in my garage) as well as pens, pepper mills, goblets, and platters. I am a member of both the Baltimore Area Turners and Chesapeake Woodturners clubs and enjoy my time and learn quite a bit from the other members at each. I have a lot to learn but really enjoy the hobby and plan to pursue it as long as possible.

You should know that posting questions or projects here (your profile page) will not get you very many responses’ just because it’s your profile page not part of a main forum. To post in a main forum read below.

See the drop-down box underneath my Lumberjocks in the upper right hand corner. Click on the arrow and select which type of posting you want to make (Project, Blog entry, Forum topic). This will take you to the appropriate page and you just fill in the form.
